Undergraduate Research Opportunities

The Department of Biochemistry is home to and affiliated with over 60 Research Groups. Undergraduate students have the unique opportunity to take advantage of this extensive network and gain hands-on experience in research, including developing lab work, computation, and research presentation skills. Working under the guidance of a Biochemistry faculty member, students participate in projects related to molecular and cellular biology, protein structure and dynamics, membrane biology, computational biology, drug discovery, and infectious diseases. Departmental Research opportunities are organized under Research Courses, our Summer Research Program, and Additional Research Opportunities. View each link below to see how to get started.
