Funding your Degree
All students must pay tuition and incidental fees and are responsible for full and timely payments. Click here for further information and current fees
All graduate students in the Department of Biochemistry receive a guaranteed stipend, which is structured as a living allowance plus tuition and incidental fees. Students winning competitive awards may be eligible for a Top-Up over the Basic Amount. Click here for further details.
Students are encouraged to apply for all scholarships and awards for which they are eligible. Click for more information.
Teaching Assistant (TA) positions allow students to gain teaching experience while supplementing their stipend income. Money earned from TA positions is income that can be added to their stipend. Students may work a maximum of 10 hours per week out of a 40 hour school week. Positions range from marking and invigilating exams, to running tutorial sessions and laboratory courses.
