Students are encouraged to apply for all scholarships and awards for which they are eligible.
A Quick Note on Awards and Stipends
Students who apply for and receive competitive funding are eligible to receive the award directly (if value less than $2000.00) or a Top-Up/Merit Bonus (if award value is $2001.00 or more) in addition to their Base Funding/Stipend. The Top-Up Amount ranges between $2000.00 - $4000.00. Students who win non-competitive awards, including but not limited to U of T Fellowships, Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund (OSOTF) Awards, Doctoral Completion Awards (DCA), and needs-based bursaries, will have the award applied to their Base Funding/Stipend - no Top-Up/Merit Bonus is applied.
