Biochemistry Golf Day was held on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026 at Flemingdon Park Golf Club on a perfect day with high clouds and a light breeze. Six teams competed on the 9-hole track for the prestigious Biochemistry Cup, with the Westenders (Jeff Charuk, Phil Bilan, Allen and Adrian Volchuk) coming out on top with an impressive 4-under par performance. Allen also won the Men’s Closest-to-the-Hole, while the Women’s went to Nana Lee. Women’s Longest Drive went to Anna Vanek, while Reinhart Reithmeier won the Men’s with a lucky drive to the middle of the fairway. The Club provided cold water, sandwiches, and home-made biscotti for all players after the round who gathered around the TV screen to watch the exciting Canada-Switzerland FIFA game from Vancouver. Thanks to Vito, Agatha and the Schiavone family for hosting our tournament again this year. Next year we plan to partner with the BGSU and BUSS to attract more students to this annual event.
