Research Day and Retreat -this Departmental event showcases the innovative science being done across the different research foci of the Department. It also offers the opportunity to get to know one another in an informal and enjoyable setting. There are plenty of talks and posters, but also time to meet and chat with people in the department!
The Department Holiday Party - run by the BGSU, this event brings faculty, postdocs, and students together to enjoy the jovial December mood and mingle around a few drinks and entertainments.
George Connell Lecture Series - This Departmental Series invites distinguished scientists to deliver public lectures on campus. The series is hosted by the graduate students with the mentorship of Professor Haley Wyatt. All speakers chosen and invited by graduate students.
Benjamin Schachter Memorial Alumni Lectures- previous graduates from the Department are invited by the students to talk about their paths to their current occupations. The event is organized by students with guidance from the Graduate Professional Development Lead, Dr. Nana Lee.
The BGSU Annual Survey - The survey gives students the opportunity to give feedback on their graduate experience.
