2026 Biochemistry Day

Biochemistry Day is an annual outreach hosted by the Biochemistry Graduate Student Union (BGSU) with support from the Department of Biochemistry and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine's MedLinx program.

The goal of the event is to provide underserved/underprivileged high school students in the GTA an opportunity to explore science through hands-on learning. Participants will gain insight into lab work, undergraduate and graduate pathways in science, and the diverse career opportunities available in the field.

The full-day program includes a student and career panel discussion, a research lab tour, interactive biochemistry-related lab activities, and lunch for all participants.
