Modelling Human Diseases from Cells to Organoids - BCH2132H

This course will discuss a variety of 3D cell and tissue models, including those derived from human stem cells, and their applications for studying human diseases and for pre-clinical drug development. In class sessions will include introductory lectures to model systems and as well as student presentations.  Students will select a model system for in depth focus and will deliver 2 presentations and a written report on various aspects of the model.

Method of Student Evaluation
Presentations: 2 x 20% each = 40%
Participation in discussions: 10%
Written report (1500 words + references + 1 figure): 50%
