The first half of the academic school year is almost over and the Department of Biochemistry is pleased to welcome our incoming class of 2nd year Biochemistry Specialists. The Biochemistry Specialist program is open to a small group of high caliber students who wish to gain an in depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms at play and practice essential critical thinking and problem solving skills. This year’s cohort, see here in the BCH242Y lab with TA Kathleen Orrell (far right), has begun their laboratory training in essential biochemical techniques, honing their skills in preparation for potential future laboratory research positions.
